Project: Girls' Room now in progress!

About a week ago, I made an inspiration board for my next home project. (Click here to see the inspiration board!)) Then completed a successful garage sale weekend to de-clutter! (Yard Sale Weekend Blogpost
In between this week's deadlines, the fun has officially begun! Project Girls' Room is now in progress! I've started picking out the paint colors and fabric. I tried really hard to veer away from pink paint, as much as I know how little girls love everything to be pink. I've decided to stick to neutrals for the room's overall base colors and will later on splurge in color for the accents. Plus, I have an obsession for shades of gray lately that I must fulfill.♥ I want the room to look dainty but not overly girly

From the ever reliable Ace Hardware!
In case you need to go back for extra paint or possibly retouch after a couple of years, they always keep a record of the paint you mixed and bought for future reference. :)

"Flint" gray for the main walls. I like how it becomes a little taupe
with a hint of brownish lilac under warm white light.

Had a couple of old furnitures repainted too making them look brand new!

And lastly for this teaser, I'd like to share with y'all this lovely and super affordable fabric store I happened to walk into a few days ago! I was overwhelmed to see such pretty choices of fabrics that you can use for upholstery, bedsheets, curtains, etc. Prices are around 100-150/yard!! The store is COTTON DEPOT conveniently at the topmost floor of Glorietta 5. :) So convenient for the preggy me since I do not have the luxury to make trips to Divisoria for now.

LOOKY!!!

♥ Remember, makeovers need not be expensive. With a little creativity, resourcefulness, and practicality, you can quickly transform any room in your home at a price you can afford! :)

These are all for now. Stay tuned!

Yard Sale weekend!

Just before I start with the girls' room project, it's time to put a few things away to make space. It's garage sale weekend! That slice of suburbia that brings friends & neighbors to our doorstep and helps turn gizmos of bygone years into funds for the piggy bank or in my case, "baby funds!! Percentage of this weekend's sale goes to the church and all remaining stuff unsold goes straight to Caritas. Such a rewarding way to put out old treasures. ♥

So here are a few snippets from this morning's fun fun fun sale.

Happy shoppers = Garage sale gone wild! :)

My shoes and Kassie's were selling fast and furious!

Toys! Toys! Toys! Oh these were the weekend fave! I organized Kassie's old toys into ginormous loot bags. :)
All wiped out!

Our family friends did a bunch of selling with us too. And I had to get my hand on a very pretty find!

Unused handpainted shoes. Love!

Don't you just love bargain hunts?! What's you favorite yard sale find?

Happy weekend!

Girls' Room Inspiration Board

I am now halfway through my pregnancy and feeling extremely anxious + excited at the same time. Wond'ring what it's like to be a mommy x2! To beat the raging preggo hormones, I flood my mind with lots and lots of happy thoughts. :) My happy thoughts now include grey with splashes of citrine, pink, brown, pale blue....etc. ♥ Kassie's having a baby sister! We're naming her Alyana Louise. Must save up for my girls. ♥ Project! And here's a little something to inspire mommy in the coming weeks. I'm getting addicted to making my own inspiration boards. It's like bringing happy thoughts to life! :)
