About a week ago, I made an inspiration board for my next home project. (Click here to see the inspiration board!)) Then completed a successful garage sale weekend to de-clutter! (Yard Sale Weekend Blogpost)
In between this week's deadlines, the fun has officially begun! Project Girls' Room is now in progress! I've started picking out the paint colors and fabric. I tried really hard to veer away from pink paint, as much as I know how little girls love everything to be pink. I've decided to stick to neutrals for the room's overall base colors and will later on splurge in color for the accents. Plus, I have an obsession for shades of gray lately that I must fulfill.♥ I want the room to look dainty but not overly girly.
From the ever reliable Ace Hardware!
In case you need to go back for extra paint or possibly retouch after a couple of years, they always keep a record of the paint you mixed and bought for future reference. :)
"Flint" gray for the main walls. I like how it becomes a little taupe
with a hint of brownish lilac under warm white light.
Had a couple of old furnitures repainted too making them look brand new!
And lastly for this teaser, I'd like to share with y'all this lovely and super affordable fabric store I happened to walk into a few days ago! I was overwhelmed to see such pretty choices of fabrics that you can use for upholstery, bedsheets, curtains, etc. Prices are around 100-150/yard!! The store is COTTON DEPOT conveniently at the topmost floor of Glorietta 5. :) So convenient for the preggy me since I do not have the luxury to make trips to Divisoria for now.
LOOKY!!!
♥♥♥ Remember, makeovers need not be expensive. With a little creativity, resourcefulness, and practicality, you can quickly transform any room in your home at a price you can afford! :)
These are all for now. Stay tuned!
